In this investigation, an ultra-compact dual-mode bandpass filter (BPF) with a wide stopband response is realized by using half-mode substrate-integrated rectangular cavity (HMSIRC). The HMSIRC resonator designed that in shape and has metallic vias along three of the sides. fourth side open-ended contains microstrip feed lines. For purpose constructing magnetic wall, slot cut into each HMSIRC’s edges. order to produce electrical wall may generate variety resonances, open edges provided single via center. After that, second-order BPF generated loading transverse middle BPF, which enables independent frequency regulation mode frequencies. eigen-mode analysis; field distributions; coupling matrix; full-wave simulation proposed topology are used develop working principle filter. A realized, constructed, experimentally validated provide evidence theory correct. prototype achieves satisfactory performance thanks its compact footprint 0.028 λg2; broad passband 15.9%; low insertion loss 0.41 dB; 4.36 f0 rejection level greater than 20 dB. Both measured EM-simulated responses very consistent one another.
